St. Francisco Kindergarten
in Korolevo

Korolevo is situated in Vinohradiv district, Transcarpathia, 25 km both  from the Hungarian and
Romanian borders. Before the first World War it was a railway center. From 9150 inhabitants there
are 1500 hungarians. The unemployment rate is high in the settlement.
 
 

   The kindergarten was opened at the parish house in october 1998 with 25 children. The purpose  of the kindergarten is for a Christian, Catholic education and to uphold the Hungarian culture and traditions in the settlement. The other important aim is the healthy, regular feeding of the children.

After few years of existing it was important to renovate the building and change it's heating 
system. With the help of foreign organizations, including volunteers of World Servants, a Dutch humanitarian organization, and the hard work of the Church community, the renovation of the kindergarten and the same time of the parish house was  very successful.
