Dr. Géza Jeszenszky is a historian and since 1998 the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the United States. Professor at the Budapest University of Economics. The second edition of his book on Britain's 1894-1918 image of Hungary: Az elveszett presztízs [The Changing Image of Hungary in Britain, 1894-1918], was published in 1994. He was Minister for Foreign Affairs of the first post-dictatorship, democratic Hungarian government from 1990 to 1994 and an elected Member of Parliament thereafter, until 1998. He was Fulbright Professor at the University of California (1984-86), a Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center (1985), and a visiting professor in 1996 at the University of Michigan.
